Good Job on your Factual Recounts!

Hey guys,

Just want to say how happy I am to read the recounts you wrote. Most of you did well! Very obvious improvement in your vocabulary and sentence construction.

The ones who didn't do well were those who didn't heed the question, or the purpose of the recount in the first place.

I've got 12 more scripts to go! Marking on a Sunday is such a bummer but reading the wonderful pieces really made it better.

I once told the class I work better in the night and the morning to which they said I was nocturnal. I responded and said as the day wore on, I got stupider, and I was at my dumbest in the afternoon.

Today, a student asked in response to a mistake I made, " Mr Yang, it's only in the morning and you're already stupid?"

For those who have yet to complete your math ps worksheet, please do so and bring it tomorrow.

We'll be going through the Data logger activity sheet on heat flow tomorrow so please make sure it's completed.

Our field trip is tomorrow. Bring sufficient cash if you're looking to buy stuff. For me. :-)
Please bring along a small bag with a clipboard - if you have one, your pencil box, water bottle, snacks (to be consumed by me), and camera if you're going to take pictures.

Visual Vocabulary: mercenary. Expansion activity: construct 2 sentences with "mercenary" used as a noun and used as an adjective.

Get your science practical signed or it'll be more deduction of points.

Oral practice. Remember what I talked about today on taking initiative to introduce ideas. Try it out on a picture from the newspaper or internet. Work on advertisements, posters etc.

Rest assured I've not abandoned the after school lessons. It's just that it's been really tough after school these days with the NAPFA tests (P3-6), P6 oral, and other miscellaneous meetings. Trust me. I'd rather spend time with you guys... Hope to resume the classes soon.
